We roll out from the Mediterranean coast and climb steadily into the Sierra Nevada foothills. The morning blends smooth, twisty secondary roads with optional easy gravel links that help you find your rhythm on the bike. Expect constant scenery changes: sea views fading into pine-covered ridges, terraced valleys, and whitewashed hamlets perched on the slopes. The riding is flowing rather than technical, with plenty of bends and a few wider sweepers where the landscape opens up. Short photo pauses are built in at high lookouts before we arc toward Granada in the afternoon. On arrival, we do a quick check on tyre pressures, chain tension, and rider ergonomics so everyone is comfortable and ready for tomorrow’s desert loop.

This is the signature day: a full loop from Granada into the Gorafe Badlands and back. We leave the city behind on quiet backroads that gradually turn arid, entering a world of clay canyons, dry riverbeds (ramblas), and wide, eroded plateaus. The terrain mixes compact gravel, hardpack tracks, and scenic secondary asphalt—adapted to the group’s level. Riders who prefer a road-biased day can stay on tarmac alternatives that still deliver big vistas; those wanting more off-road can take optional detours along safe, well-scouted gravel sections. The badlands are all about space and light: long sightlines, layered rock formations, and viewpoints across the Gorafe depression. We keep a steady, sustainable pace with regular stops for photos. After exploring this region, we'll head to Granada to stay at Hotel Zerbinetta.

A mountain-to-sea finale that feels tailor-made for motorcyclists. We skirt the lower Alpujarras on balcony roads that contour along the hillsides, linking traditional villages and terraced valleys with a continuous flow of bends. Where it makes sense, we add short gravel connectors—optional and non-technical—to reach quieter viewpoints and enjoy that feeling of remoteness before returning to smoother tarmac. As the Mediterranean comes back into view, the road widens and the curves lengthen, delivering a satisfying, scenic descent to Almuñécar. It’s a compact stage with great variety and a natural sense of closure: you finish where you started, with the coast at your feet and the mountains at your back.
