Welcome to this charming coastal town on the Costa Brava, famous for its connection to Salvador Dalí. Today is our welcome day: we’ll check the bikes, review everyone’s gear, and hold a detailed briefing to go through the tour instructions and the itinerary day by day, answering any technical questions along the way. The day will finish with a group dinner by the Mediterranean Sea, enjoying the local cuisine while we get to know each other better.

After an energetic breakfast, we will start our journey by following the Mediterranean coast between hidden coves and spectacular cliffs. Gradually, we will venture into the first foothills of the eastern Pyrenees, crossing the Cap de Creus Natural Park and climbing forest tracks until we reach the Alt Empordà. We will enjoy lunch in a small medieval village before continuing inland through technical mountain sections, experiencing a gradual change in landscape from the Mediterranean blue to the lush green of the pre-Pyrenean forests. We will arrive in Ripoll, a historic city known for its Romanesque monastery.

Today we will delve deeper into the heart of the Catalan Pyrenees. We will start early to face a day of high mountain with several passes exceeding 2,000 metres in altitude. We will traverse the spectacular La Cerdanya valley on little-used forest tracks, reaching natural viewpoints with 360° panoramas where France, Andorra and Spain converge. We will pass through small mountain villages frozen in time and stop at a high-altitude refuge to enjoy a hearty mountain lunch. The route continues through the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park, with its impressive rock formations, before descending to the Sort Valley on technical trails that will test our skills.

We leave the Catalan Pyrenees behind to venture into Aragonese territory. We start by ascending the Noguera Pallaresa Valley along historic paths used for centuries by shepherds and traders. We will cross centuries-old beech and pine forests until we reach the spectacular Puerto de Bonaigua, from where we will overlook the Aran Valley. We will continue through the Aigüestortes National Park with its characteristic glacial lakes before entering the Aragonese Sobrarbe. We will enjoy lunch in a renovated old mountain hut where we will sample Aragonese specialities. In the afternoon, the landscape becomes more rugged with limestone canyons and ravines that will lead us to the medieval Aínsa, with its impressive arcaded main square and 11th-century castle.

The longest and most demanding stage of our journey. We depart early from Aínsa to delve into the impressive Pyrenean valleys of Huesca. We will traverse the Tena Valley on forest tracks that cross mixed forests of black pine and fir, with strategic stops to admire the peaks over 3,000 metres that surround us. We will make a technical stop in the historic city of Jaca, the former capital of the Kingdom of Aragon, where we will briefly visit its Romanesque cathedral. After refuelling, we will face the most technical part of the day: the trails connecting the western Aragonese valleys, alternating varied terrain from rock to mud and crossing mountain streams. Finally, we will cross into Navarre to reach Roncesvalles, an emblematic place on the Camino de Santiago, where we will stay alongside pilgrims from all over the world.

Our final stage will take us from the Navarrese mountains to the Cantabrian Sea, thus completing our coast-to-coast journey. We will start the route through the lush beech forests of the Bertiz Natural Park, crossing green valleys dotted with traditional Basque farmhouses. We will ascend the legendary Mount Jaizkibel on its inland side, enjoying panoramic trails with views of the Basque interior and the French border. We will have our last group lunch at an authentic Basque cider house, where we will taste the cider directly from the kupelas (barrels) accompanied by a traditional chop menu. In the afternoon, we will descend towards the Cantabrian Sea on tracks that will offer us the first views of the ocean, culminating our transversal adventure with the arrival in the beautiful Hondarribia, a fortified city by the sea where we will celebrate our feat with a special farewell dinner.

The tour is adaptable to different levels. A valid motorcycle licence and basic off-road experience are recommended for the adventure version. Our guides adapt the routes according to the group's level, offering tarmac alternatives or more challenging trails as needed. If you have doubts about your level, contact us before booking.
We use KTM Adventure 890 R and 390 R motorcycles, fully prepared for the mixed terrain of the Pyrenees crossing. Trail or adventure motorcycles work best.
The tour crosses several Pyrenean passes above 1,800 metres. The highest point is around 2,000 metres in the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park area on Day 3 (Ripoll to Sort stage). At this altitude you may notice a slight power reduction on the motorcycle and some riders feel mild fatigue — we keep a moderate pace and recommend constant hydration.
Mountain weather can change quickly in the Pyrenees. Our guides check forecasts daily and carry alternative routes at lower altitudes. If conditions are dangerous (heavy rain, snow on passes, fog on technical trails), we adjust the itinerary — either substituting a route or extending a stay in one of the historic towns along the way.
Passengers are only allowed on the on-road version of this tour. The off-road / mixed-terrain version requires the rider to handle the bike alone for safety reasons on technical trails.
A valid motorcycle driving licence, vehicle insurance documentation (or we provide it with rental), and a government-issued ID or passport. EU residents face no border formalities as the tour is entirely within Spain.
