Celebrating its 100^th edition, the 6Days – Enduro of Nations (ISDE to us fans) passes through the Alentejo Region of Portugal. What better way to discover this event than enjoying a trail ride from the Algarve all the way to Grandola (paddock area) and back, discovering some of the best scenery Portugal has to offer.

DAY 1

Tavira > Serpa

Leaving the beaches of the Algarve behind, we start our journey north through the mountain range that separates de Algarve from the Alentejo region. Leaving the windy and tricky mountain range behind, we start getting into the open planes and fields that characterize the Alentejo, and especially this part of Portugal.
Serpa was once a roman village but then conquered by the moors in 1166 AD subsequently Dom Dinis ordered the construction of the fortress and walls that circled the town.

DAY 2

Serpa > Grandola > Lousal

4-6 h

Heading West, you will leave Serpa behind and start making your way towards Grandola. This is the town that will serve as the nerve centre for the 6 Days Enduro of Nations, and the paddock is an unmistakeable frenzy of activities.
The first riders will start to arrive at around 3pm, sou you will be able to accompany them during their maintenances and bike repair after the day’s racing

DAY 3

Lousal > Castro da Cola

4-6 h

This day will take you into the heart of the 6 Days, accompanying the riders and teams on the Special Tests during the day, near the Cercal and Sines region.
Around lunch time, and leaving the racing behind, you start heading towards Castro da Cola a small town that is possibly one of the oldest in Portugal, dating back to the neolithic era.

DAY 4

Castro da Cola > Tavira

4-6 h

Heading southwest, tracking towards Tavira, you wiol be leaving the Alentejo region behind, and entering the Algarve. Passing through the heart of the mountain range, where honey beehives and the Medronho trees are a traditional produce from this region.
Further south, you can start feeling the sea breeze, and you will be able to see the Atlantic Ocean from the top of the hills before descending into Tavira again

A valid driving licence, comprehensive insurance details and government-issued ID/passport are required.

Experience with gravel surfaces and basic off-road techniques is recommended for those choosing the adventure route, although routes can always be adapted to more tarmac or easier terrain.

Enjoy carefully curated multi-course local gastronomic experiences. All dietary requirements can be catered for with prior notice.
